Chromium-zirconium copper is a metallic material suitable for charging related pipe fittings of electric welders, but generally used for electroplating workpieces. What is the reason why this material can be used as automobile material?
1. The product of electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity is very large, indicating that Cr-Zr-Cu has a strong ability to control joule heat in the system. This is because low resistance generates less heat, and heat can be quickly lost due to high thermal conductivity.
2. When the temperature reaches 200 degrees Celsius, the hardness decreases very little. C17200(QBe2) and C17510 alloys have high thermal strength and hardness up to (36-42)HRC. At the same time, the thermal conductivity of chromium zirconium copper is roughly equal to aluminum alloy, which can resist the thermal erosion of high temperature plastic and prevent thermal fatigue crack. Therefore, they can be used to manufacture various components of plastic injection molding mold systems.
Cr-cu's electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, hardness, wear resistance and knock resistance, as well as its price is better than beryllium-Cu mold materials, has begun to replace beryllium-Cu as the common mold materials in the mold industry. For example, molds are used for shoe soles, plastics with high smoothness, connectors, wires and other products that require high strength.
Crzr-cu is mainly used as charge for spot welding or seam welding of low carbon steel and coated steel plate, and can also be used as charge base, shaft and gasket material for welding low carbon steel.
