Common cleaning methods for beryllium copper

The surface of beryllium copper often produces oxide film during heat treatment. The beryllium copper oxide film must be removed prior to further plating and welding. Common cleaning methods for beryllium copper are as follows:

The film will be removed in a few minutes by dispersing beryllium copper in 20% dilute sulfuric acid and heating it to 50-90 degrees Celsius. If time permits, the film can also be immersed overnight in a solution at room temperature. Since the film caused by grease contamination cannot be removed by pickling, it must be degreased before hardening.

Skim: beryllium copper alloy surface after any grease will impact surface stains or heat treatment, the effect of welding, plating once used in the stamping stamping oil, have to skim it after stamping, if chlorine or sulfur content is higher in stamping oil, degreasing method is carefully estimated or avoid this kind of stamping oil.

Rust: three truxene nitrogen are commonly used to prevent beryllium copper discoloration caused by air, it is beryllium copper and copper alloy surface cupric three azole nitrogen truxene, insoluble in water, and other characteristics of the solvent, it doesn't affect the pretreatment process of plating, because it is at 100 degrees Celsius or at high temperature distillation, so has no effect on aging hardening treatment also.
