Beryllium bronze is a very useful precipitation-hardened alloy.The characteristics of Dongguan thermal treatment plant are that it has superior plasticity after solid solution treatment and can be deformed by cold processing. (1) Solution treatment of beryllium bronze
The heating temperature of Dongguan vacuum heat treatment for ordinary solution treatment is between 780℃ and 820℃. For materials used as elastic components, 760-780℃ is used to avoid the influence of grain size on strength. The average furnace temperature of solid solution Dongguan thermal treatment plant should be strictly controlled in ±5℃. Generally, the heat preservation time can be calculated as 1 hour /25mm. When beryllium bronze is heated by solid solution in air or oxidizing atmosphere, its appearance will form an oxide film. Although it has little effect on the mechanical function after aging strengthening, the Dongguan thermal treatment plant will affect the service life of its cold processing die. In order to prevent oxidation, it should be heated in vacuum furnace or ammonia differentiation, inert gas, restorative atmosphere (such as hydrogen, carbon monoxide, etc.), and then obtain bright heat treatment results. In addition, attention should be paid to shorten the transfer time as far as possible (when the water is quenched), otherwise it will affect the mechanical function after aging. Thin data shall not exceed 3 seconds, ordinary parts shall not exceed 5 seconds. Quenching medium is usually water (no heating requirements), of course, parts with complex shape can also use oil in order to prevent deformation.
(2) Aging treatment of beryllium bronze
The aging temperature of beryllium bronze in Dongguan vacuum heat treatment is related to the content of Be. Alloys containing less than 2.1% Be should Be aging treated. For alloys with Be greater than 1.7%, the optimal aging temperature is 300-330℃ and the holding time is 1-3 hours (depending on the shape and thickness of the parts). For highly conductive electrode alloys with Be less than 0.5%, the optimal aging temperature is 450-480℃ and the holding time is 1-3 hours due to the elevated melting point. In recent years also carried out a double and multistage aging, Dongguan thermal treatment plant is first in high temperature short not aging, and then at low temperature for a long time thermal aging, so the advantage is functional progress but the amount of deformation is reduced. In order to improve the dimensional accuracy of beryllium bronze after aging, clamps can be used for aging, and sometimes two separate aging treatments can be used in Dongguan-heat treatment plant.
(3) De-stressing treatment of beryllium bronze
The annealing temperature of beryllium bronze is 150-200℃, and the holding time is 1-1.5 hours. The vacuum heat treatment can be used to eliminate the residual stress caused by metal cutting, straightening treatment, cold forming, etc., and the shape and size accuracy of the unchanged parts when they are used for a long time.
