Copper foil is a key conductive material in lithium ion battery and printed circuit board. Copper foil is a cathodic electrolysis material, deposited on the base layer of the circuit board of a thin, continuous metal foil. Copper foil can be divided into many kinds according to different points. Copper foil can be divided into thick copper foil (greater than 70μm), conventional thickness copper foil (greater than 18μm and less than 70μm), thin copper foil (greater than 12μm and less than 18μm), ultra-thin copper foil (less than 12μm), etc. Copper foil can also be divided into: single-sided copper foil (single-sided hair), double-sided copper foil (double-sided thick), smooth copper foil (double-sided hair), double-sided smooth copper foil (double-sided light) and very low profile copper foil (VLP copper foil) copper foil. Finally, copper foil is divided into electrolytic copper foil and calendered copper foil according to the different production methods. So today we will focus on the production of electrolytic copper foil and calendered copper foil.
Before saying the method of copper foil production, we first understand the definition of electrolytic copper foil: it is deposited by the copper ion in the electrolyte on the smooth rotating stainless steel plate (or titanium plate) circular cathode drum. The surface of copper foil close to the cathode drum is called the smooth surface, and the other side is called the hair surface.
Electrolytic copper foil production method: at present, roller cathode and insoluble anode are used to produce electrolytic copper foil continuously.
Specific steps for the production of electrolytic copper foil by roller continuous electrolysis method:

2. The surface treatment process is still based on electrochemical reaction.
