In order to prevent the oxidation of copper, glass, borax and other fluxes should be added when melting bronze to cover the copper liquid. Because the zinc in brass itself is a good deoxidizer, so when melting brass, do not need to add flux and deoxidizer

2. Process characteristics: the shrinkage of most copper alloys is large, so it is necessary to control the solidification sequence during casting to prevent the formation of shrinkage holes. Tin bronze is easily oxidized in the liquid state, and the flow should not be interrupted during pouring. At the same time, the pouring system should be able to prevent the splashing of liquid metal, so that the liquid metal can flow smoothly. The bottom injection pouring system is often used in production. Tin bronze is suitable for metal mold casting, because the cooling speed of metal mold is fast, the solidification area of liquid metal becomes narrow, it is not easy to produce shrinkage and porosity, and the internal organization of the casting is dense.
