What are the differences in application and properties between phosphor bronze and beryllium copper alloys?

Phosphor bronze has higher corrosion resistance, resistance to wear and tear, and no fire on impact. Used for medium speed, heavy load bearing, working temperature is 250℃. With automatic aligning, not sensitive to tilt, bearing force symmetry bearing capacity, can be at the same time by radial load, self-lubrication without maintenance and other characteristics. Phosphor bronze is a kind of alloy copper, has good electrical conductivity, not easy to burn, ensure the performance and at the same time has strong fatigue resistance. The connector spring of phosphor bronze is hardwired with electrical structure, without rivet connection or friction contact, which can ensure excellent touch, good elasticity and stable insertion. The alloy has excellent machining properties and chip forming properties, which can reduce the machining time of parts quickly. Phosphor bronze is also commonly used as the sound spring material for harmonica.

Beryllium copper is a kind of susaturated solid solution copper base alloy, which is a non-ferrous alloy with excellent mechanical, physical, chemical and corrosion resistance. After solution and aging treatment, beryllium copper has quite high strength, elasticity, yield and fatigue compared with special steel, and also has high electrical and thermal conductivity, high hardness and wear resistance, strong creep resistance and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in the manufacture of various mold inserts, replacing steel to make high-precision, complicated shapes of molds, welding electrode materials, die casting machine, plastic machine punching needle, wear resistance and corrosion resistance work. Beryllium copper strip is used in micromotor brushes, mobile phones, batteries, products, and is an indispensable key industrial material for national economic construction.
